Ballet Workout

Introduction

Welcome back to our ballet-inspired workout series! In Part 1, we explored how ballet techniques can help you improve your strength, flexibility, and posture. Now, let's dive into more exercises that will sculpt your body while embracing the elegance of ballet.

Plie Squats

Start with your feet wider than hip-width apart, toes turned out. Lower down into a squat position, keeping your back straight and your knees tracking over your toes. Rise back up to the starting position, engaging your inner thighs and glutes. Repeat for 3 sets of 15 reps each.

Port de Bras

Stand tall with your arms in a low V position. Inhale as you raise your arms overhead, keeping them straight. Exhale as you lower your arms back down. This exercise improves shoulder mobility and posture. Perform 3 sets of 12 reps.

Releve Calf Raises

Begin in a parallel position with your feet hip-width apart. Rise onto the balls of your feet, lifting your heels as high as possible. Lower back down with control. This move strengthens your calves and ankles. Do 4 sets of 20 reps.

Arabesque Leg Lifts

Stand facing a chair or countertop for support. Extend one leg back, keeping it straight, while leaning slightly forward. Lift and lower your leg while engaging your glutes and hamstrings. Switch sides and do 3 sets of 12 reps per leg.

Cool Down with a Ballet Stretch

Finish your workout with a series of ballet stretches to improve flexibility and prevent muscle soreness. Perform stretches for your hamstrings, quads, calves, and back for 10-15 minutes.
